Chuck Myers

Chief Deputy Commissioner

Chuck Myers serves NCDOI as the Chief Deputy Commissioner.

Myers joined the Department in 2026, bringing extensive experience in insurance regulation, law enforcement, accounting and fraud investigation. Prior to joining NCDOI, he served as deputy commissioner for the Louisiana Department of Insurance, where he oversaw the Office of Property and Casualty, chaired the Louisiana Auto Insurance Plan and restructured the Louisiana Fortified Homes Program. He also led the Title Insurance Working Group for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.

Previously, Myers held insurance regulatory and law enforcement roles in Virginia, including managing the Real Estate Settlement Agents Investigations Section of the Virginia Bureau of Insurance and serving as a Special Agent Accountant for the Virginia State Police. He also spent more than 20 years as a licensed insurance agent in Florida and Virginia.

Myers is a chartered property casualty underwriter, certified fraud examiner and senior professional insurance regulator. He holds a Master of Science in Risk Management Insurance from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Central Florida.
