North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of the Town of Denton’s former fire chief.Brandon Allen Dorsett, 37, of Denton was charged with misusing government computers and two counts of fraud, all felonies.Davidson County deputies arrested Dorsett on July 11. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Davidson County District Court on Aug. 4
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced the arrest of Nichloas McArthur Bennett, 43, of 419 Beasley Dr., Greenville, on Aug. 16, 2024. At the time, Bennett was charged in Pitt County with two counts of identity theft and one count of obtaining property by false pretense.

Ruiz is charged with 26 counts of insurance fraud, 21 counts of attempting to obtain property by false pretense and five counts of obtaining property by false pretense. All 52 charges are felonies.
