North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced that Lori Gorman has been selected as the new Deputy Commissioner of The Captive Insurance Company Division.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Masean Courtney McCurdy, 24, of 815 Martin Luther King Drive, Thomasville. McCurdy was charged with insurance fraud, obtaining property by false pretense and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, all felonies.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Clifton Lawrence Bowman, 52, of 5045 Wood Meadows Road, Staley. Bowman was charged with insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense, both felonies.
Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Bowman of obtaining $8,179.73 from Foremost Insurance Co. by claiming a storm damaged his camper when the damages were a result of long-term water damage and rot.
The offense occurred on May 27, 2021.
