North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced that D’mitri Ahkeem Bouttry, 32, of 7803 Davinci Lane, Charlotte, was charged with insurance fraud, a felony.
Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Bouttry of submitting fraudulent photos to USAA in support of a claim that his Apple MacBook laptop was damaged.
According to a criminal summons, the photos had been downloaded from various internet websites before being uploaded to the insurance company.
