Holiday travel can be filled with a lot of fun memories for kids – road trips with the entire family, visits to grandma and grandpa’s house and more.

Halloween can be one of the most fun nights of the year for children, but for parents, it can be the most nerve-racking. According to Safe Kids NC, twice as many kids are killed while walking on Halloween than on any other day of the year.

Step inside the North Carolina State Fair and visitors will see a fun, interactive exhibit called Safety City located near Dorton Arena.

Safe Kids North Carolina, a statewide program, led by the North Carolina Department of Insurance Office of State Fire Marshal, is reminding parents and caregivers about important safety tips in an effort to reduce child drownings, near-drownings and entrapments in swimming pools, spas and other bodies of water.
