North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Rachel Nicole Conley, 42, of 378 North Rhododendron Road, Almond, NC. Conley was charged with one count of insurance fraud, a felony.According to special agents with the NC Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Conley attempted to defraud American Family Life Assurance Company by issuing false statements on an insurance policy.According to the criminal summons, the offenses occurred on July 7, 2023.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Miyah Shonae Williams, 24, of 2620 Brick Capitol Court, Sanford, NC. Williams was charged with identity theft and obtaining property by false pretense, both felonies. She was also charged with false statements in applications for insurance, a misdemeanor.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Brody Alan Hankinson, 48, of 105 Whispering Pines Drive, Marion, NC. Hankinson is charged with three counts of extortion, all felonies.According to special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Hankinson violently threatened three insurance agents from NC Farm Bureau Insurance because he said he had yet to be paid from a claim that he filed. Special agents and Farm Bureau have alleged that Hankinson’s claim is fraudulent.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Chastity Lavonn Washington, 49, of 147 N. Hillside Street, Rutherfordton, NC. Washington was charged with one count of identity theft, a felony.According to special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Washington acquired the identity of another person to obtain automobile insurance in order to file a false accident claim.According to the arrest warrants, the offenses occurred on Jan. 10, 2023.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced that Timira Chiquita Glaspy, 33, of 4440 Merlane Drive, Charlotte, was charged with two counts of insurance fraud, both felonies.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Nicole Lynn Price, 44, of 20 Tartan Drive, Cameron. Price was charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies.According to special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Price attempted to obtain money from GEICO Insurance Co., by claiming $2,048.95 in falsified multiple receipts for automobile insurance including towing and glass repair.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Chastity Dawn Keeter, 36, of 508 Sioux Drive, Jacksonville, NC. Keeter was charged with one count of second-degree arson, two counts of first-degree arson, two counts of burning personal property and one count of attempting first-degree arson, all felonies. She was also charged with three misdemeanor counts of child abuse.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Tristan Marcel Martin Jr., 35, of 230 Barlow Circle, Winston Salem, NC. Martin was charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies. According to special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Martin attempted to obtain money from Phillips Corporation and USAA Insurance. He attempted to claim $1,978.86 by falsifying paystubs for an automobile policy.
