North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Nicholas McArthur Bennett, 43, of 419 Beasley Dr., Greenville, NC. Bennett was charged with two counts of identity theft and one count of obtaining property by false pretense greater than or equal to $100,000. All counts are felonies.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Keysha Gillis Cox, 50, of 624 Thomas Ave., Aberdeen, NC. Cox was charged with one count of insurance fraud and one count of attempting to obtain property by false pretense. Both are felonies.According to special agents with the NC Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Cox attempted to defraud Travelers Personal Insurance Co. out of $1,946 by filing a renter’s insurance claim for an address where she did not live.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Travis Layne Ramsey, 27, of 10100 Rock Hollow Road, Raleigh, NC. Ramsey was charged with one count of insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense. Both are felonies. He was also charged with filing a false report to a police station, a misdemeanor.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced that Te’Yawnda Quiana Bullock, 29, of 948 Dunbar Woods Road, Battleboro, was charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies.Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Bullock of attempting to obtain $2,863.29 from Progressive by filing a duplicate claim with the insurance company for damages to her 2014 Hyundai Sante Fe.According to the criminal summons, the offenses occurred on May 22.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrests of Allen Ray Gowans and Natasha Die’t Jones as result of the same investigation. Jones, 37, of 5200 Summit Manor Lane Raleigh, was charged with insurance fraud and aiding and abetting another to obtain property by false pretense.Gowans, 36, of 2914 Moorgate Ave., Durham, was charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense.All of the charges are felonies.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Sharmayne Ariel Rollinson, 40, of 1415 Hidden Court, Charlotte, NC. Rollinson was charged with one count of insurance fraud, a felony.According to special agents with the NC Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Rollinson attempted to defraud Allstate Insurance Company. She filed a claim on a rental vehicle for an auto insurance policy.According to the arrest warrant, the offenses occurred on Aug. 29, 2023.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Kevin Abron Wade, 53, of 12514 Rolling Rock Court, Charlotte, NC. Wade was charged with one count of insurance fraud which is a felony.According to special agents with the NC Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Wade attempted to defraud Minnesota Life Insurance Company by forging an agent’s name to receive a disability insurance policy.According to the arrest warrant, the offenses occurred on Aug. 15, 2023.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Tonia Yvett Clare Jones, 55, of 3220 Emerald Ridge Court, Raleigh. Jones was charged with 11 counts of insurance fraud, 10 counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of attempting to obtain property by false pretense. All charges are felonies.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Eric Jahmal Simpson, 53, of 5231 Penrith Drive, Apt. D, Durham. Simpson was charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies.According to special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Simpson attempted to obtain $6,706.66 from Sentry Insurance for lost wages following an automobile crash.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Rachel Nicole Conley, 42, of 378 North Rhododendron Road, Almond, NC. Conley was charged with one count of insurance fraud, a felony.According to special agents with the NC Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Conley attempted to defraud American Family Life Assurance Company by issuing false statements on an insurance policy.According to the criminal summons, the offenses occurred on July 7, 2023.
