North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced that a roof scam sting operation coordinated with the Department’s fraud investigators and Farm Bureau’s Special Investigations Unit has yielded the arrest of one man with a second arrest pending.

Robert Allen Bentley, 36, of 6617 Elmstone Drive, Charlotte, a senior project manager with A&M Premier Roofing & Construction, was arrested on Dec. 10 and charged with insurance fraud, attempting to obtain property by false pretense and conspiracy. All three charges are felonies.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of William Sanders, 42, of 1906 Longshadow St., Rural Hall. Sanders was charged with insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense, both felonies. He was also charged with misdemeanor making a false report to a police station.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Justin Chidozie Nwachukwu, 29, of 6420 Alanbrook Road, Charlotte. Nwachukwu was charged with insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense, both felonies.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Nwachukwu of falsely filing an insurance claim for the theft of his 2021 Dodge Charger.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Charnay Hayden Padilla, 26, of 553 Averasboro Drive, Clayton. Padilla was charged with four counts of insurance fraud, three counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one count of attempting to obtain property by false pretense.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Za’kira Zaleaya Price, 23, of 9059 Senca Drive, Wilmington. Price was charged with insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense, both felonies.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Price of obtaining $2,341 from Geico Insurance by submitting false medical bills to the insurance company in an automobile collision insurance claim.

The offense occurred on June 13.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Tyler Dionysius Englin, 26, of 63 Callahan Trail, Garner. Englin was charged with embezzlement, a felony.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Englin, owner of the public adjuster company TDE Claims LLC, of embezzling $133,097.26 from a Catawba County client.

According to the arrest warrant, Englin was entrusted to receive the claim for his client but Englin kept the money and did not transfer the money to him.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Heather Ann Robinson, 37, of 7354 N.C. Highway 42 W., Kenly, on 86 counts of insurance fraud, 46 counts of identity theft, 38 counts of obtaining or attempting to obtain property by false pretense.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced that Isaac Lee Walker, 19, of 130 Charlotte Drive Extension, Lexington, was charged with insurance fraud, a felony.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Walker of providing false information, saying that there was no pre-existing or unrepaired damage to the left side of his Honda Accord, in a claim with Allstate Property and Casualty Co.

The offense occurred on May 16.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrests of April Nicole Montero, 37, of 739 N. Rhyne St., Gastonia, and Deborah Jeanea Brown of Gastonia. Both were charged with insurance fraud and conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, all felonies.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Montero and Brown of conspiring to stage an accident of a rental U-Haul truck.

The offenses occurred on April 10.

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Noah Zachary Daniel Saunier, 30, of 1517 Little Savanah Road, Sylva. Saunier was charged with three counts of insurance fraud and three counts of attempting to obtain property by false pretense, all felonies.

All six charges relate to claims filed with three insurance companies involving his 2022 Audi, valued at $161,000.
