North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of an Alamance County elementary school principal on insurance fraud related charges involving pet insurance.Robert Grayson Dail, 35, of 201 Slate Drive, Gibsonville, was charged with insurance fraud, attempting to obtain property by false pretense, common law forgery and common law uttering, all felonies.According to arrest warrants, Dail attempted to obtain money from Nationwide Insurance Co. by submitting falsified and forged veterinary invoices to the company.

King is charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense. Both charges are felonies.According to special agents with the N.C. Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, King attempted to add a sailboat to a Progressive Select insurance policy after the boat had already capsized. He then attempted to file a claim on the boat on his new policy totalling $10,000.

Both offenses are felonies.According to special agents with the N.C. Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Crocker presented false statements during correspondence to Progressive Premier Insurance Company of Illinois in an attempt to obtain $3,416.93 in payments.

All seven counts are felonies.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced today the arrest of Wayne Anthony Artis, 45, of 190 Sparrow Road, Eden. Artis is charged with insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense.According to special agents with the N.C. Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division, Artis told Progressive Southeastern Insurance Group that the windows of his vehicle were damaged by vandalism during coverage, when the damage actually occurred prior to coverage. The value of the repair was listed at $1,406,07.
