Commissioner Causey announces Victim Assistance Center in Orange County to assist residents affected by Tropical Storm Chantal

UPDATED TO INCLUDE VICTIM ASSISTANCE CENTER SATURDAY IN CARRBORO

North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey has announced the opening of a Victim Assistance Center (VAC) in Carrboro to help victims of flooding from Tropical Storm Chantal.

Representatives from NCDOI will be present to answer insurance-related questions and to provide assistance.

The VACs will be held from noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, Friday, July 11 and on Saturday, July 12 on the first floor of the Drakeford Multipurpose Room, located at 203 S. Greensboro St., Carrboro.

“These VACs will help to give in-person and on-the-ground recovery assistance and provide insurance-related support to those directly impacted by Tropical Storm Chantal,” Commissioner Causey said.
