North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Margarita Rena Wall, 43, of 2819 Bobwhite Circle, Wingate. Wall was charged with insurance fraud, a felony.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Wall of providing fraudulent documents and giving a false statement to Travelers Indemnity Co. to support a personal property homeowners’ policy claim.

The offense occurred between Nov. 14, 2019, and Jan. 9, 2020.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Tanajah Monae Ramsey, 28, of 4505 Sycamore Park, Fayetteville. Ramsey was charged with insurance fraud, a felony.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Ramsey of providing USAA Insurance Company with false information in support of a May 1 automobile insurance claim.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Rickey Levar Bobo, 43, of Mount Gilead. Bobo was charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Bobo of providing false photos and documents in an attempt to obtain a payment for damaged property from Travelers Insurance.

The offenses occurred between March 10 and April 14.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Marissa Hope Bailey, 24, of 3965 Rosehill Road, Fayetteville. Bailey was charged with insurance fraud and obtaining property by false pretense, both felonies.

According to the arrest warrant, Bailey obtained $8,258.71 in short-term disability benefits from Sedgwick Insurance after filing a fraudulent death certificate and medical documents with the company.

The offenses occurred between July 7, 2020, and Nov. 10, 2020.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Tyris Davontae Edmondson, 26, of 702 Doctors Drive, Kinston. Edmondson was charged with insurance fraud, obtaining property by false pretense and burning personal property, all felonies, along with a misdemeanor count of making a false report to police.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Freeman Ronnell Reynolds IV, 41, of 119 Andrews St., Enfield. Reynolds was charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Seth Frazier, 27, of 10870 Broadview Drive, Raleigh. Frazier was charged with insurance fraud, a felony.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Frazier of telling Progressive Insurance that he had a vehicle accident after he reinstated his insurance coverage when the crash actually occurred while there was a lapse in coverage.

The offense occurred between Feb. 2 and June 8.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Louis Paul Gurganus Jr., 43, of 3309 Ridgewood Ave., Monroe. Gurganus was charged with insurance fraud, a felony.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Gurganus of falsely telling Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. that he was unaware of a liquid spill on the floor of a Monroe grocer before he slipped and fell.

The offense occurred between March 7 and March 9.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Michael Stephen Linardy, 56, of 2310 Red Carpet Drive, Fuquay Varina. Linardy is charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Linardy of falsely telling United Services Automobile Association that his wife’s wedding ring was lost when the ring was in his possession when he filed the claim.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey today announced the arrest of Shavon Nicole Green, 34, 316 Fedelon Trail, Goldsboro. Green was charged with insurance fraud, a felony.

Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division accuse Green of providing National General Insurance Co. the wrong date that her vehicle was damaged.

According to the arrest warrant, the damage occurred after Green took out the automobile insurance policy.

The offense occurred on May 13.
