Renew a Motor Club License
NOTE: North Carolina Department of Insurance transitioned to a new version of SBS (State Based Systems) in 2021. All active companies (Collection Agencies, Premium Finance Companies, and Motor Clubs) were assigned a new North Carolina license number at that time. For the 2024-2025 renewal license period, your license will reflect only the license number issued in 2021.
Before You Begin:
The annual license renewal period for Non-Insurance Business Entities (NIBE), collection agencies, motor clubs and premium finance companies, begins in early-April through June 30th. The North Carolina Licensing Office of Pearson VUE will send email notifications to all existing licensees with instructions regarding the renewal process. If you have not received a renewal notification by May 1st, contact the licensing office at 866-265-6329. Licenses must be renewed by the June 30th expiration date.
The on-line renewal application must be submitted using the North Carolina License Management System (NCLMS). Renewal submissions are not complete until both the application and payment has been received.
