Disclosure Statements
Disclosure Statements
Disclosure Statements are annual regulatory filings submitted by continuing care providers to the North Carolina Department of Insurance pursuant to Article 64A of Chapter 58 of the North Carolina General Statutes. These statements provide detailed information about a provider’s governance, financial condition, contractual obligations, resident protections, and other matters required by law.
North Carolina law requires the Department to post Disclosure Statements for public access. The Department makes these filings available to support transparency and informed decision-making by residents, prospective residents, families, and other users. Disclosure Statements are formal regulatory documents, not marketing materials, and are intended to be reviewed in conjunction with the provider’s continuing care contracts and other publicly available information.
