Continuing Care at Home
Continuing Care at Home Programs in North Carolina
Overview
Continuing Care at Home (CCAH) programs allow individuals to receive coordinated health-related and supportive services while remaining in their own homes, rather than relocating to a continuing care retirement community. These programs are regulated by the North Carolina Department of Insurance to promote transparency, financial oversight, and consumer protections.
Only providers licensed by the Department may arrange or provide Continuing Care at Home services in North Carolina.
Disclosure Statements and Public Information
Providers offering Continuing Care at Home programs are required to file an amended Disclosure Statement with the Department that includes information specific to the CCAH program. These Disclosure Statements are posted by the Department for public access.
Disclosure Statements contain important information about:
- The services offered under the Continuing Care at Home program
- Fees and payment obligations
- Eligibility and contract terms
- Financial and operational information about the provider
Prospective participants are strongly encouraged to review the provider’s Disclosure Statement carefully before entering into a Continuing Care at Home contract.
